Initiatives Program Grant of $50,000 to the Leduc Curling Club President,
Ken Smith. This grant was received to assist with the hosting of the 2013
Alberta Men`s curling championship, the 2013 Alberta Boston Pizza Cup in
February.

2013 Black Gold Broom Champions
2013 Black Gold Broom Champions - Triple Creek Team - Murray Grunwald, Dave Mayer, Ken Grant, Kelvin Creighton. The Triple Creek Team from the Leduc Co-op Wednesday Commerical League defeated the Tim Stroh Leduc Chrysler Jeep Men's League team in the final.

Canadian Mixed Doubles Champions
Quebec’s Robert Desjardins and Isabelle Néron won Canada’s first-ever national mixed doubles curling title, beating Saskatchewan’s Dustin Kalthoff and Nancy Martin 7-3 in the gold-medal game of the Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials at the Leduc Recreation Centre.
With the victory, the Chicoutimi residents will represent Canada at the 2013 World Mixed Doubles Championship April 13 to 20

2013 Alberta Juvenile Women Champions
This team won the 2013 Alberta Juvenile Championships in Sylvan Lake. Team members include Danielle Schmiemann, Kate Goodhelpsen, Brenna Bilassy and Rebecca Allen. The coach is Skip Wilson. They will now represent Alberta at the Canadian Championships in Langley, B.C. at the end of March.
